After gaining BS in Art Education at SUNY College New York in 1969, and MS at Massachusetts College of Art in 1976, she was awarded D.Ed at Pennsylvania State University in 1981. She has had numerous papers published in Art Education and other journals, and is on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Multi-Cultural and Cross-Cultural Research in Art Education.
