Abstract
This research examines the relational meaning of the term Jin in the Qur’an using Toshihiko Izutsu's Quranic semantic theory. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to analyze this concept from a linguistic perspective. Data were collected through a literature review of the Qur’an and commentaries by scholars such as Quraish Shihab and Ibn Kathir. The analysis highlights the varied meanings of Jin across different contexts in the Quran, identifying its relational connections with other words in the holy text. Findings reveal that Jin not only refers to unseen beings but also demonstrates aspects of concealment and secrecy in various forms. The implications of this research provide a deeper understanding of how the Qur’an employs words to convey complex contextual and relational meanings.
