Abstract
Objective To study the promotive effect of diclofenac sodium on dilation of pupils in patients with diabetic retinopathy. Methods The control group received compound tropicamide eye drops.The experimental group received 0.1％ diclofenac sodium eye drops besides the compound tropicamide eye drops.The differences of pupil areas before and after dilation in the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group,the differences of pupil areas before and after dilation (mm2) in the experimental group were significantly higher (35.89± 1.13 vs.28.56±1.16,P ＜0.001). Conclusions Combining with Diclofenac Sodium eye drops,compound tropicamide eye drops are easy to dilate the pupil of DR. Key words: Diclofenac Sodium; Diabetic retinopathy (DR); To dilate the pupil
