Abstract

AbstractA monodispersed tabular grain emulsion was prepared successfully by pAg-controlled double-jet methods. The function of pBr, addition time of aqueous solutions of silver nitrate and halide, ripening time, concentration of gelatin and content of iodide were investigated in this work. The results showed that the number of hexagonal tabular grains zvas 92% of the total number of silver halide grains and the diameter of circle corresponding to the average projected area of the tabular grains was 1.2 µm and the aspect ratio was 14. The results indicate that the nucleus formation and ripening stages have an important function in the preparation of monodispersed tabular grains.
