Abstract

AbstractThis research tries to describe the process of India-Indonesia collaboration in the education sector, using science diplomacy as an endeavor to accomplish India's foreign policy goals during the Modi period. A descriptive qualitative method is used in this investigation. The data is sourced from the results of literature studies, analysis of government report documents via the internet, and strengthened by interviewed of representative of the Indonesian student organization (PPI India). The analysis technique uses a triangulation method that applies to data selection and categorization. Conclusions and verification are carried out by applying the conceptualization of science diplomacy based on India-Indonesia cooperation in the education sector. The results of the study show that India seeks to build a positive image to realize the "Act East Policy" by facilitating further study scholarships, research collaborations, and the exchange of university teaching staff to Indonesia. For the Indonesian government, India's facilitation through a program to increase knowledge and resources in the field of education is a prospectus for strengthening Indo-Pacific cooperation.
