Abstract

Objective To explore the influence of family caring and self - efficacy on the quality of life in patients with schizophrenic during recovery period.Methods A total of 160 patients with schizophrenia who straightened after treatment in hospital were evaluated with the Generic Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI),family APGAR index (APGAR) and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) to measure the quality of life and social - psychological factors.Results The total scores of quality of life and scores of physical function,mental function and social function in the beuer family caring group were significant higher than those in the bad family caring group ( t =9.35,4.67,1 1.10,8.99,P <0.01 ),while the total scores of quality of life and scores of physical function,mental function and social function in the lower self - efficacy group were significant lower than those in the higher self - efficacy group (t =9.43、4.59、1 1.18、7.98,P <0.01 ).Conclusions Family caring and self- efficacy are the main factors that influenced the quality of life in patients with schizophrenic during recovery period.
