Abstract

Objective To explore the quality of psychological intervention on the quality of life and social support in spouses of schizophrenia. Methods The Generic Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI) and the social support revalued scale were used to assess the 59 Uygur male schizophrenic patients spouses and 60 married normal control subjects. Results The total score of quality of life and the four dimensions of physical function, mental function, social function and material life of spouses of Xinjiang Uygur male schizophrenic patients were significantly lower than those of the control group (P 0.05). Conclusions The quality of life of the spouse of male schizophrenic patients in xinjiang uygur autonomous region is poor and closely related to social support.
