Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing interventions on quality of life in schizophrenic inpatients .Methods 172 schizophrenic inpatients in our hospital were divided into two groups randomly, control group (86 cases) and intervention group (86 cases).The control group received routine nursing, while the intervention group was observed in the integrated nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.And use the Generic Quality of Life Inventory ( GQOLI) to evaluate and compare the patients ’ quality of life of the two groups .Results Before intervention , the aggregate score and scores in each level of the two groups showed no statistical significance (P>0.05).After intervention, in the intervention group,the score of quality of life was (82.52 ±4.31), higher than before (71.34 ±2.74) and which in the control group (79.14 ±4.53), with a statistically significant difference ( t=20.30,13.20, respectively;P〈0.01).The scores of quality of life in each level in the two groups showed statistically significant before and after intervention (P〈0.01).After intervention, the scores of quality of life in each level in the intervention group was higher than the control group with a statistically significant difference (P〈0.01).Conclusions A high quality of comprehensive nursing interventions can enhance schizophrenic inpatients ’ quality of life .It is worth promoting in clinical nursing .
