Abstract
The equilibrium exchange of caesium and hydrogen ions with the hydrogen and caesium form respectively of zirconium phosphate at a constant ionic strength of 0·10 M has been studied at 25 and 45°. From the sigmoid exchange isotherms, thermodynamic equilibrium constants have been calculated for the exchange RH+ Cs +⇋ RCs+ H + where R represents the zirconium phosphate matrix.
