Abstract

Background: Post-operative cases cause a high level of anxiety. The Emotional Freedom Technique and Deep Breathing Exercise methods are psychological anxiety intervention methods that are innovative and interesting for further research. Aim: The aim was to find out the Effect of Emotional Freedom Technique Therapy and Deep Breathing Exercises to Reduce Anxiety. Methods: The research design was a randomized controlled trial, the literature searching process was specified on the ten years' latest research (2014-2021), selected from several indexed electronic databases (Scopus, Sciencedirect, Proquest, Sage, Ebsco). The Risk of Bias assessment tool used Joanna Briggs Institute's (JBI) critical appraisal checklist. Keywords were based on MeSH Browser's Medical Subject Heading; Emotional Freedom Technique AND Deep Breathing Exercise AND Anxiety. Results: The search used a search engine on a total of 875 articles and found 14 eligible journal manuscripts selected according to the criteria. The total numbers of respondents in this review were 645 respondents. Conclusion: There is an Effect of Spiritual Therapy Emotional Freedom Technique and Deep Breathing Exercise to Reduce Anxiety.
