Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the correlation between student’s learning interest and motivation with problem-solving abilities in online learning. This research was a quantitative correlation study. The population in this research was 7th-grade students of SMP 2 and the sample was 72 students. The instruments in this study consisted of three questionnaires, namely the questionnaire of student's learning interest, the questionnaire of student's learning motivation, and the questionnaire of problem-solving skills for daring learning. The data analysis technique used was simple and multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study indicated that there is a negative correlation between students' interest and motivation to learn simultaneously with problem-solving skills in distance learning but in the low category.

METODE PENELITIAN

Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian kuantitatif korelasi. Rancangan penelitian ini menghubungkan antara minat belajar siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran IPA serta menghubungkan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran IPA. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu angket minat belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran daring dengan jumlah pernyataan sebanyak 48 butir, angket motivasi belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran daring dengan jumlah pernyataan sebanyak 40 butir, dan angket kemampuan pemecahan masalah terhadap pembelajaran daring dengan jumlah pernyataan sebanyak 20 butir dan masing-masing angket dihitung menggunakan skala likert. Namun pada indikator penuh perhatian memiliki persentase terendah, hal ini dapat disebabkan karena kurang adanya rasa tertarik siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran secara daring sehingga siswa merasa bosan (Firdaus (2019)). Sedangkan dalam indikator ketekunan dalam belajar mendapat persentase terendah, hal ini disebabkan karena kurangnya perhatian orang tua terhadap anak ketika proses pembelajaran dilakukan di rumah sehingga siswa bermalasmalasan dalam belajar
