Abstract

This chapter of the book Advances in Synthetic Organic Chemistry discusses tetrahydroquinolines in detail. The main purpose of the book is to present academic and industrial chemists with significant advances in current chemical research in 46 subject areas as reported in the US patent literature. To do so, four interconnected components are used. Moreover, relevant prior art US patent references have been incorporated throughout the text in each chapter. To efficiently access required information, individual reagent, product, and name reaction indices are incorporated in the book. The patent covered in this chapter is dimeric compounds, authored by P.R. Carlier and others. The assignee for this patent is the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the utility designation is treatment of Alzheimer's disease. This chapter also consists of reactions, experimental details, derivates, and notes. Lastly, a few references are mentioned. These are US patents that have been used to collect the information for the content of the chapter.
