Abstract
Since embracing and committing to the agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the education sector, particularly higher education, has assumed a larger degree of responsibility. The Sustainable Development Goals must be implemented by higher education institutions, and they must offer stakeholders a variety of counsel and direction. The purpose of this study was to identify research questions linked to important concepts, themes, and research gaps. To do this, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on sustainability in education was carried out. Our comprehension of sustainability in the context of education is improved by this review, which broadens our knowledge on the subject.
