Abstract

The front page of newspapers is the initial approach to the panorama of a reality that is considered daily. As guides to this panorama serve the titles that present a wide range of themes and opinions which they tend to direct us to. Therefore, the action of the events prefers name to verb, eclipsing thus not the action, but simply the grammatical category it is represented by; the denotative meaning adapts metaphoric connotations, which not only communicates, but also implies; punctuation marks such as full point, comma, quotation marks provide to the text a fluency and a fast pace in accordance with the speed of the visual impact. The lexicon is full of neologism: syntax prefers simple conjunctive sentence, whereas stylistics chooses inversion. In our research, we will deal with the features of linguistics styles of newspaper headlines, highlighting mainly the syntax aspect, but we will also dwell on lexicon and stylistics. This is all due to the fact that the language of the newspapers penetrates faster that the academic one and it has the deepest impact on the linguistic customs of everyday users.
