Abstract

Abstract Funks G80 was planted May 12, 1980 at the University of Georgia Experiment Station, Oconee Co. The soil type was Appling sandy loam. A randomized complete block experimental design with 2 row plots x 20-ft.long x 38-inch row width x 2-ft alleys with 5 replicates was used. Plants were treated with a full cone spray using an air pressure sprayer at 30 psi in a final volume of 50 gal/A directed on the plant ears. Plots were sprayed 7 times on Jul 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 14 and 16. All ears in the center 18 foot of row were examined on Jul 18 for the presence of corn earworm larvae or damage.
