Abstract

Abstract ‘Funks G80’ was planted Jun 8 at the University of Georgia Experiment Station, Oconee Co. The soil type was Appling coarse sandy loam. A randomized complete block experimental design was used with 2 row plots x 20-ft long x 38-inch row width x 2-ft alleys. There were 5 replicates. Plants were treated with a full cone spray using an air pressure sprayer at 30 psi in a final volume of 50 gal/acre directed on the plant ears. Plots were sprayed 12 times on Jul 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30, Aug 2, 4, 6, and 9. All ears in the center 18 ft of row were examined on Aug 11 for the presence of corn earworm and fall armyworm larvae or damage.
