Abstract

Abstract This article aims to further discussions about a queer reading. An exemplary reading of Christoph Martin Wieland’s Novella without a Title (1803/1805) is particularly interested in the inconsistencies within in this text’s exploration of the multidimensional concept of “Geschlecht” (sex/gender, kinship, and the human species). A narratological queer reading in this sense lays thus open the openings and closures of the text.
