Abstract

Replacing thermal power with new energy is the future power grid development trend. Many distributed new energy stations are integrated into the power grid in areas with concentrated loads, such as Shandong Province. The short-circuit ratio (SCR) is often used to evaluate the system’s stability, but the short-circuit ratio index is a static index with no actual physical meaning, so it is difficult to reflect the transient stability problem after the new energy station is connected. In this paper, an analytical calculation method for the fault-clearing time of new energy power stations is proposed according to the operating state of the induction motor. The fault limit clearing time is used as an index to evaluate the system’s stability, which has practical physical significance and good results.
