Abstract

The grid connection of new energy power stations may inject harmonic pollution into the power grid. In order to clarify the harmonic responsibility of fresh energy stations, it is necessary to determine the source of harmonics. This paper proposes a harmonic power detection method based on instantaneous reactive power theory on the basis of the harmonic power analysis. This method identifies the source of specific harmonic according to the direction of harmonic power by detecting the power of different order harmonic. The corresponding simulation detection platform is built to verify the effectiveness and correctness of this method. The results show that different harmonics should be judged separately when identifying the harmonic direction of new energy stations, rather than simply using the direction of total harmonic power.
