Abstract

Music education shows considerable potential in today's inclusive paradigm. The main aim of this paper is to present the results of a music education project that seeks the most appropriate distribution of music education for children with special educational needs. We have chosen a qualitative research design. The results obtained point to the need for modification of standard music education approaches to enable children with special educational needs to benefit from the benefits of music education. Based on the outcomes of our research, we raise the demand for the necessity of applying special pedagogical elements to the music education process and the consequent necessity of thorough training of music educators.
