Abstract

AbstractBy exploiting the possibilities of image converter tubes, some new high speed cameras have been developed having advanced performance. These include a simple single frame camera with on exposure time of 20 nS, a single-frame camera of high resolution and wide spectral range, a streak camera capable of writing speeds up to 4000mm/μS., and a framing camera which can operate at speeds from 103 frames sec. to 6 107 frames sec. The basic electrical circuits used in these cameras are described, together with details of their performance.
