Abstract

Socio-cultural rehabilitation of children with mental retardation sets a number of tasks, including involving children and their families in socio-cultural activities, creating conditions for their rehabilitation, developing positive motivational activity for creativity, and helping to adapt in society. The content of socio-cultural rehabilitation is of great importance for people with special needs: it helps them to establish social contacts and connections, identify and develop creative abilities, satisfy aesthetic interests, etc. It is a set of measures aimed at helping to achieve and maintain the optimal degree of participation of persons with special needs in society and realize cultural interests and aspirations.
