Abstract
Analyses of the dispersive transient transport data of a-SiO2 indicate that the temperature dependences of the transit time and of the prompt mobility of small hole polaron hopping are strongly correlated. This correlation is in quantitative agreement with the predictions of a recently advanced model. The implications are that dispersive transient transport occurs also by small polaron hopping and that no traps or defects are involved.
