Abstract
Spin frames are defined in associated two-dimensional complex spaces at each point of a differentiable manifold. A Lagrangian which is invariant under co-ordinate and global spin frame transformations is constructed in terms of spin frames. The requirement of gauge invariance under local spin frame transformations gives rise to the gauge potentials and fields of Carmeli'sSL 2,C gauge theory of gravitation.
