Abstract

The present article examines the selection of parameters of dimpled rib with combined V-type rough surface solar air heater (SAH) duct that shows maximum performance. One side of article carried experimental study of dimpled rib with combined V-type rough surface for heat transfer enhancement of SAH duct, whereas, on other side Preference selection index (PSI) technique has been employed on different enactment criterions to attain the preeminent set of elements which are be responsible for the premier thermal performance of SAH. The finest set of dimpled rib with combined V-type rib parameters attained by offered technique is, rib width ratio of 5.0, print diameter of 1.0, relative pitch of 9.0, flow attack angle of 55° and Reynolds number (Re) of 17,000.
