Abstract

Statement of the problem. The sphere of scientific interests, major directions of activity and achievements of the scientific school of the academician of the RAASN Yevgeny Mikhailovich Chernyshov are discussed. Results. In the first part of the memorial article in memory of the academician Ye.M. Chernyshov explores the methodology of system-structural materials science he developed, characterizes three concepts for controlling the potential of resistance to failure of building composites. The principles of designing building composites according to the criteria for the effective operation of force bonds in their structure formulated by Ye.M. Chernyshov are characterized. The major issues of designing the structures of building composites are shown associated with the category of "heterogeneity of the structure", which develops in the direction of a systematic qualitative analysis of substantial, substantial-geometric, geometric and statistical criteria, criteria for the congruence of formations multilevel in structure, and a quantitative interpretation of these criteria. Conclusions. Based on the methodology of system-structural materials science, the principles and procedures for analytical and experimental modeling of the "design of material structures" of a new generation have been developed, theoretical and engineering issues of managing the performance properties of composites based on the optimization of their structures have been addressed, solutions have been set forth for improving the traditional and creating new high technologies for the production of building materials of composites.
