Abstract
El último discurso de Salvador Allende marca el inicio del mito y de su legado político, que se debate entre: la visión de Allende como un líder socialdemócrata adelantado a su tiempo, intentando llevar a cabo un proceso socialista por vías pacíficas y legales, y la percepción de él como un revolucionario totalitario. La "vía chilena al socialismo" tenía como objetivo traspasar la riqueza de la burguesía a los trabajadores, pero su implementación enfrentó desafíos legales y violencia que serán abordados en el presente ensayo.
