Abstract

The performance of generator excitation systems is directly related to the safe and stable operation of power systems. To fully grasp the state of the excitation system, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory is used to evaluate the state of the generator excitation system in this paper, the excitation system state evaluation model is given, and the excitation system state evaluation index system is established and improved. The combination of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and improved entropy weight method (EWM) is used to determine the index weight, which solves the shortcomings of the traditional entropy weight method (EWM): when the index entropy value approaches 1, the small gap between entropy values will cause the doubling of entropy weight and effectively solves the limitation of a single weighting method, and the accuracy of excitation system state evaluation is improved. In addition, the evaluation model is verified and analyzed by using the excitation system data of a power plant, which proves the feasibility and effectiveness of the evaluation method and provides a reference basis for the performance and life evaluation of the excitation system.
