Abstract

Objective To analyze the relationship between the expression of Golgi protein-73 (GP73) and CD133 with clinical biological behaviors of colorectal carcinoma. Methods Immunohisto-chemical method was used to assess the expression of GP73 and CD133 in 82 cases of colorectal carcinoma tissues and non-cancerous adjacent colorectal tissues. Results The expression rate of GP73 in colorectal carcinoma tissues was higher than that in non-cancerous adjacent colorectal tissues (84.15% vs.64.63%,P <0.01).The expression level of GP73 was related to histology grade and serosa invasion of colorectal carcinoma (P < 0.05).Tthe expression rate of CD133 in colorectal carcinoma tissues was higher than that in non-cancerous adjacent colorectal tissues (47.56% vs.15.85%,P <0.01),and the expression of CD133 was closely related with TNM stage and lymph node metastasis of colorectal carcinoma (P <0.05).Conclusion GP73 and CD133 in colorectal carcinoma tissues might be used as markers for assessing the clinicopathological features. Key words: Colorectal carcinoma; Golgi protein-73; CD133
