Abstract
Comparing with other band SAR, such as C-band, X-band, and Ka-band, W-band Frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) SAR are gaining more and more attention for its higher resolution, smaller volume and lower cost. The W-band SAR is suitable for the close range target imaging for its shorter wavelength. In this paper, according to the W-band Rail SAR system we had put forward in 2017, we have completed the development of the W-band Rail SAR prototype based on the system design scheme and the system indicators. System composition, subsystem design and implementation are also given in the paper. The resolution of this system could reach Scm. The system verification test was taken in Multi-function model towing tank of Shanghai Jiaotong University with the high precision trailer. After many experiments, we got effective test data of the multiple goals. The real data has been processed based on the RD algorithm. The imaging results was analyzed and compared with the actual goals. The results have verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the W-band Rail SAR.
