Quality assurance as a means to minimize long-term liability

Abstract

This paper focuses on construction quality assurance (CQA) of geomembranes in general and on geomembrane seams in particular. It reviews the concept of CQA, its objectives and various components and then highlights several critical aspects of seam quality. Costs of a CQA program are then compared and contrasted to the benefits of these actions from a facility owner's perspective.
