Abstract
The paper analyzes the development and application of distance learning as a modern educational model that uses information and communication technologies. It presents the stages of this model's development, from correspondence learning to modern online platforms. It describes different forms of distance learning, their challenges and advantages, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on increasing the application of this model. The paper highlights the importance of distance learning in improving the quality of education and adapting it to the individual needs of students.
