Abstract

The International Scientific Conference on Socio-Technical Construction and Civil Engineering (STCCE-2020) is a new project organized by: Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (Russia), Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia), University of East London (UK), The Regional Youth Public Movement of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Tatarstan Republic (Russia)It was announced as physical conference based in Kazan, in April. It was planned as a full 7-day conference consisting of presentations of recent scientific findings, and with plenty of time for personal contacts, exciting discussions and unforgettable experiences. However COVID-19 pandemic led to travel restrictions and lockdown all over the world, so physical meeting was impossible. Conference was not postponed or canceled because of COVID 19. As nobody knows how the virus will spread and how much time it will take, organizing committee decided to have conference online. Plenary Session of the conference took place in virtual format (in ZOOM), so everybody could join it and listen to speakers and ask questions. Each speaker had 15 min presentation and 5 min Q&A session.After Plenary Session the conference continued in Forum. Forum was available for 16 days. Summaries of submitted articles were presented there, so all the participants could read and ask questions or leave comments.
