Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Poultry Science. UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS. Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science, Department of Poultry Science, University of Arkansas. The twelve month appointment will have a 65% teaching and 35% research or 35% extension assignment. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in an area relevant to Poultry Science. Demonstrated ability as an outstanding teacher and communicator, and a broad understanding of the biological, technological, and business aspects of commercial poultry production are required. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to develop, teach, and coordinate a core series of undergraduate Poultry Science courses and laboratories, in conjunction with other Poultry Science faculty. This responsibility will include implementing an interdisciplinary team-teaching approach, designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships among bird biology, meat-egg production, processing, food technology, and agribusiness.
