Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Islamic Religious Education learning on increasing the nationalism of students at SMP Negeri 26 Sorong Regency and the significant influence of Islamic Religious Education learning on increasing the nationalism spirit of students at SMP Negeri 26 Sorong Regency.This research uses Quantitative research with an Associative quantitative approach—the population of all Muslim students from classes VII-IX. The sample collection was carried out thoroughly by conducting a population study of 38 students. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using simple regression tests, T (Partial) tests, and coefficient of determination tests.The results of this study show that: First, Learning Islamic Religious Education affects the improvement of the nationalistic spirit of students at SMP Negeri 26, Sorong Regency. This can be seen from the results of a simple regression test with the equation Y = 31,888 + .727 + e with a constant value is 31,888, and the value of the regression coefficient of Islamic religious education learning is 0.727. Second, there is a significant relationship between learning Islamic religious education and increasing the nationalism of students at SMP Negeri 26 Sorong Regency by 0.599. This can be seen from the results of the T-Test. It was obtained at 4,488. It is known that the T-Table with a significance level of 0.05 with df = n-k = 36, then the magnitude is 2.02619. The value of the coefficient of determination is found in the Adjusted R Square value of 0.341. This means that the ability of free variables to explain bound variables is 34.1%, while other variables influence 65.9%. Therefore, the results are significant, and the proposed hypothesis is acceptable.
