Abstract

The motivation for this study stems from the insufficient precision seen in smash volleyball games during the extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Katis, as well as the limited originality in utilising auxiliary media to enhance students' accuracy in smashing. During research, auxiliary media use a customised target board as a tool for conducting exercises. The objective of this research was to investigate the impact of training using a modified target board on the precision of volleyball smashes during extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Katis. This study is quantitative and employs the "pre-experimental design" research approach, specifically a one-group pre-test-post-test design. This research included the whole cohort of extracurricular participants at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Katis, with a total of 20 individuals. The sample in this research included the whole population. This study employs the data analysis approach of normality testing and hypothesis testing. The resulting t-values from the hypothesis testing were 3.938 and 2.093, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Therefore, it can be inferred that the use of a modified target board during training has a direct impact on the precision of volleyball smashes at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Katis Extracurricular.
