Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain transformative Islamic education in Merdeka curriculum era 5.0. The method used in this research is a literature review study, with several research stages, namely collecting data related to discussions from articles and books, as well as analyzing the data and then discussing and concluding. Based on research results, Transformative Islamic Education has an important role in facing the 5.0 era. Transformative Islamic education emphasizes that students consistently carry out activities that lead to more advanced change and encourage creativity in carrying out the mission of making Islam a religion that is rahmatan lil alamin. The concept of Merdeka Belajar promoted in Merdeka curriculum allows students to understand every learning material, including PAI material. Merdeka curriculum currently implemented is in accordance with the concept of transformative Islamic education. Educator are also required to master technology in facing this 5.0 era. Therefore, it is hoped that by applying the values of transformative Islamic education to Merdeka curriculum, we will be able to overcome the negative impacts of the 5.0 era.
