The freshwater crab Pseudothelphusa terres-tris is one of the 29 species of the genus Pseudothelphusa recorded in Mexico. The spe-cies was first described and recorded on Atemajac de Brizuela (type locality), Jalisco in 1893. Until now, the species is only known from six localities: one in Jalisco, and five in Nayarit. Herein, a new locality record of P. terrestris from Jalisco (second state record) is presen-ted based on a revision of adult male specimen (cara-pace width = 28.63 mm, carapace length = 17.12 mm) collected in San Sebastián del Oeste.
