Abstract
The success of intercultural negotiations depends largely upon the negotiators on both sides understanding hidden and unsurfaced matters related to religion, tradition and conventions. A negotiation support system (NSS) needs to facilitate varied similar cases and approaches taken for the sake of resolution. Within a given domain, in order to learn and measure the discrepancy or distance between opinions and assertions, some stored negotiation models or model systems might be employed and some suggestive solutions presented. Once certain suggested solutions have been ruled out, a refined set of new solutions can possibly be presented upon asking more questions from different angles and dimensions. The more difficult the negotiation becomes, the wiser the solutions should be. The ultimate use of a NSS is to resolve such complicated problems.
