Abstract

The study was conducted with 02 objectives to describe and analyze some factors affecting the motivation of nurses working at Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of dermato venereology in 2021. The research design was cross-sectional, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Research results showed that, the percentage of nurses who were motivated to work together at the time of the study was relatively high with 90.8%. The percentage of nurses who were motivated with job satisfaction factor was 89.8%. The percentage of nurses who were motivated with organizational commitment was 90.8%. The percentage of motivated nurses with a commitment factor was 95.9%. The mean scores of the 10 sub-categories was all above 4 points. Some factors affecting the motivation of office and support staffs was income and remuneration; training and promotion opportunities; working environment; equipment and facilities; management and administration, organizational culture (including satisfaction of colleagues and managers), encouragement and reward. The research results provided evidence to help the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of dermato venereology to develop solutions to improve the motivation of nurses in the future.
