Abstract
Ancient Narbo was settled on a rocky headland surrounded by marshes and lagoons, the recent studies do not allow an absolute precision about their proportions. This context widely resulting from paleographie parameters was oblitered by recent alluvions due to the floods of the Aude river. The alluviations obscured the links between the town and the sea. Nevertheless owning to the results of the geotechnical borings and associated archaeological documents and the underwater explorations headed by Anteas, a new vision of the antic topography will be proposed. This sometimes prospective paper summarizes important progresses which modify the vision of the environmental context of Antic Narbo and its outer harbours. Therefore, the continuation of pluridiscip Unary researches will only diminish the many remaining questions.
