Abstract

We publish two fragmentary inscriptions discovered during the excavation of the forum of Vaison-la-Romaine. They are honorific inscriptions. In all likelihood they were on statue bases. They probably concerned two now anonymous Roman knights. The first was an officer of the legio V Alaudae and a local priest. The second had received military decorations from Vespasian and had links with Mauretania Tingitana.
