The article is devoted to the analysis of the creative legacy of Petro Pechorniy, one of the outstanding Ukrainian ceramic artists who significantly influenced the development of monumental ceramics in Ukraine. The study examines the evolution of his artistic style, which combines national traditions with modernist approaches, particularly through the use of folk symbols, archetypes, and motifs in a contemporary artistic context. Special attention is given to the analysis of Pechorniy's iconic works, such as panels, sculptural compositions, and decorative objects, which demonstrate the artist's innovative approach to the use of materials and techniques. The article thoroughly explores the symbolism and philosophical depth of the artist's works, which focus on reflecting eternal themes of human existence: the cyclicity of life, harmony between humans and nature, and the struggle between good and evil. In particular, the significance of the "Tree of Life" motif in his work is revealed as a reflection of universal ideas about the unity of the transient and the eternal, birth and death. Pechorniy skillfully combines archaic forms with modern plastic solutions, creating images that are both deeply national and universal. The article also examines the technical methods employed by the artist, including experiments with chamotte clay, majolica, engobes, glazes, and overglaze painting. It discusses his aspiration for the synthesis of architecture and decorative art, which is manifested in the harmonious combination of sculptural forms with spatial compositions of interiors and exteriors. Emphasis is placed on Pechorniy's role as an innovator who expanded the boundaries of traditional ceramics, transforming it into a powerful means of artistic expression. The concept of timelessness in the artist's works is analyzed separately, particularly through generalized images of people that embody universal characters and emotions. It is noted that his works maintain dynamism and expressiveness, creating an impression of movement and tension even in static forms. The article highlights that Pechorniy's creativity not only continues the traditions of Ukrainian decorative art but also forms new ideas and artistic practices that open prospects for the further development of monumental ceramics. The study emphasizes the significance of Petro Pechorniy as an artist who integrated folk and professional art, combining traditions with innovations. His works exemplify a harmonious synthesis of national values and contemporary artistic trends, enriching Ukraine's cultural heritage and leaving a profound impact on world art.
