LAMB USNR (INACTIVE) THE AUTHOR who spent three years at the Naval Academy and was commissioned in the Naval Reserve in June, 1917, has contributed four previous articles to the JOURNAL. In addition to a long period of time in the central station and marine departments of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, he has spent many years at sea in the Navy and Merchant Marine, and holds unlimited Marine Chief Engineers License, steam and motor, in addition to professional Engineer licenses for the states of Connecticut and Indiana.
