MERICAS The Author graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1944 and served as Engineering Officer on an APA during World War II. He served as a Merchant Marine Officer from 1947 to 1951, since then he has been employed as a marine engineer in various phases of the marine industry. He is presently employed as a Senior Marine Project Engineer by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He has been active in the United States Naval Reserve for the past nineteen years and is a Commander in the Naval Reserve, formerly Commanding Officer of NR MSTS/NCSORG CO 4–4, and now Commanding Officer of NRSD 4–14(L), Pittsburgh, Pa.Search for more papers by this author EVAN C.
