Abstract

The sudden transition of the higher education institutions around the world to e-learning in the time of COVID-19 pandemic has raised significant challenges. A particular challenge in the context of remote learning has been the search for valid online assessment tools, measuring student knowledge and skills and organizing student examinations on line. Particular attention is paid to the revision and improvement of control and measuring materials, the need to use flexible assessment regimes and increase the importance of continuous monitoring, as well as the introduction of alternative forms of assessment aimed at developing creativity and critical thinking of students.
