Abstract
In his Canzoniere or Miscellany (1507), the Dubrovnik nobleman Niksa Ragnina recorded the texts of twelve songs ?in the folk style?, which literary historians (V. Jagic, M. Resetar) believed were sung, though the melodies have not been preserved. The author of this paper seeks to examine this issue by searching for their melodic variants in Serbo-Croatian folklore.
