Abstract

The article contains brief information about the situation with medical tourism in the world. The reasons for encouraging patients to seek medical help abroad are considered: the high price of a service at home, its long wait, legal barriers to obtaining a specif­ic service and others. The medical, legal and ethical risks accompanying receiving medical care abroad are described. The list of issues of concern to potential medical tourists is presented, among them: confirmed information about the medical organization and the special­ists working in it, information about services, language and visa support, etc.
