Abstract

The article presents data on the results of a study of the level of knowledge of pharmaceutical specialists on issues related to counseling patients with skin burns in a pharmacy organization. Anonymous survey and online survey of 356 pharmaceutical specialists were conducted using methods of structural-logical analysis, content analysis, methods of generalization and grouping. 1% of surveyed pharmaceutical workers noted the need for further training on pharmaceutical counseling for skin burn injuries. The study revealed that pharmaceutical workers lack knowledge on the criteria for assessing burns and «threatening» symptoms that require medical attention. It was also found that pharmaceutical workers provide recommendations during counseling that are not included in modern clinical guidelines. The survey results indicate the need to increase the level of knowledge on pharmaceutical counseling for skin burn injuries among pharmaceutical specialists.
