Abstract
Fundamental concepts and equations of the thermoviscoplasticity (inelasticity) theory are examined. Material functions are chosen, the basic experiment and identification method for the material functions, closing the thermoviscoplasticity theory, are formulated. Thermoviscoplasticity theory potentials for describing deformation and fracture of structural steels and alloys at different cyclic thermomechanical loads are demonstrated.
